Our Philosophy
The philosophy of Kinja Football Club – P.P.F
Possession – At Kinja we aim to play a possession style of football which aims to maximise the amount of touches and participation moments our players have on the field. The objective is to play as a team whilst allowing each individual to have an impact on the game itself, and to make our players enjoy the match by showcasing their skills as well as new techniques they develop in practices. We want our players to be confident on the ball and to always have a positive mentality when playing football.
Progression – We encourage our players to go through the thirds, where each player must show angles of support to team mates on the ball so the distance the ball travels is minimised to minimise the risk of losing the ball. This will aid the problem solving by anticipating moves before they happen, and make decisions better and faster when receiving the ball.
Finalisation – This is our end product. Having gained possession of the ball, having progressed it up the pitch into areas that we can create chances, our finalisation phase looks at finishing the play with a goalscoring opportunity. As with progression, the goalscoring opportunity can come from various different methods, so our players must make quick decisions, and work together to create a goalscoring opportunity, and look to finish with a goal.
