Overview
GKT Men’s football club are looking for a dedicated individual to coach our 5 teams competing at the top end of BUCS and LUSL leagues across London and the South-East.
The successful applicant will work primarily with the 1st team who over the previous years have proven themselves to be one of the outstanding university sides in the capital. Our 1sts are no strangers to silverware, as demonstrated by their National Association of Medical Schools Cup win in 2019 and their Varsity (vs UCL's medical schools) and Sellers Cup (King's College Tournament) win last season. The 1st team are looking to push on to even greater heights and believe a driven, astute and tactically-informed coach is needed to take the team further. The 1st XI would require the coach to be able to attend a minimum of one game a week (to be either Wednesdays or Saturdays) and, based on observations of the team in action, be present at training to implement relevant sessions (to be held on Monday evening).
On top of coaching the first team on a weekly basis, the coach will be expected to provide approximately monthly sessions for the lower teams focusing on technical and tactical development.
A key part of the role will be working alongside and remaining in constant communication with the club president and captains to ensure training sessions are orientated to specific team needs. The football club train at Honor Oak Park Sportsground (King's College London) on Monday evenings from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm.
All candidates must have a FA Level 2 Coaching qualification or above. If you think you can provide the skill set and commitment required, please send a coaching CV to [email protected]
