HR Sports Academy is seeking a highly capable NFL Flag (American Football) / Multi Sports Coach to join our dynamic team. With the potential to project manage some of our NFL Flag event.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for those with passion, enthusiasm, and an interest in community and voluntary organisations focusing on the positive development of young people. The successful applicant will have a passion for sports, excellent communication, attention to detail, the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and rapport with a wide range of stakeholders and a willingness to go the extra mile for them.

HR Sports Academy is a Community Interest Company dedicated to improving, increasing and promoting opportunities for children and young people in sport, fitness and physical activity. HR Sports Academy is currently recruiting part time coaches to deliver a range of programmes for young people aged between 5 and 15 years old when called upon. We are looking for Reliable, Punctual and Enthusiastic coaches who are able to lead a range of football sessions and assist in the delivery of a range of different sessions to different ages and are flexible to cover sessions with short notice. Programmes include morning and after school clubs, PE sessions, Holiday camps, tournaments and weekend clubs in and around the London borough of Haringey.

Key Responsibilities

HR Sports Academy is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable coach to deliver NFL Flag Football sessions in secondary schools and community settings for young people aged 11-18 years old.

Main duties will include:

·       Planning and delivering NFL Flag Football sessions for a group of 30 young people maximum.

·       Acting as a role model and mentor for children and young people.

·       Supporting the delivery of skills development, drills, and small-sided games in alignment with the objectives of the programme.

·       Maintaining a high standard of coaching.

·       All applicants MUST be: UKCC Level 2 qualified (or higher) in any sport.

The ideal candidate will have qualifications, skills, and experience in the following areas:

Clean DBS Check (E)

Child protection/safeguarding training (E)

Emergency First Aid Certificate (E)

Full UK Driving licence (D)

 

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:

Demonstrate a strong understanding of mentoring (D)

Strong ability to and understanding of youth engagement (E)

Strong understanding of how to improve sports participation (E)

Experience in delivering NFL Flag Football sessions for young people (D)

Possess excellent oral and written communication / presentation skills (E)

Capable of communicating with participants, partner agencies, partners, and the public (E)

Effectively work within a diverse community and draw on individual strengths to promote sporting excellence (E)

Commitment to delivering high quality sessions (E)

Able to work within a diverse community and draw on individual strengths to promote sporting excellence (E)

Develop and improve own performance and CPD (D)

Flexible working in accordance with the requirements of the service which will including working evenings and weekends where applicable (E)

Reliable and punctual (E)

 

Education:

·       GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

·       Sports coaching: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

·       DBS check (preferred)
