Overview
Balham FC are a community club running mixed teams from Under 7s up to Under 11s, boys and girls teams from Under 11s to Under 18s, Male and female open aged teams, along with a Vets team.
We are looking for motived, committed individuals to join our coaching set up for the 2022/23 season.
Each coach is supported by a team rep, who deals with the administrative side of running a team. So our coaches can concentrate what they do best. Coaching!
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking organised training session plan.
- Determining individual player abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, and factoring these into the game and training sessions.
- Fostering good sportsmanship in all team players, resolving disputes, and addressing bad behaviour in a timely manner.
- Setting a good example and a being a positive person they gains respect from players, parent and coaches alike
- Establishing rules and regulations and ensuring players are familiar with them.
- Ensuring all sports equipment is available and in working order.
- Ensure the safety of players and attend to first aid if needed
Desired Requirements
Essential
- Organised and reliable
- FA Level 1 (essential)
- Current CRB
- Current Safeguarding Certificate
- First Aid Qualification
- Passion for football and able to communicate this to young players
- Disciplined self-starter with a positive attitude.
- Interpersonal and skills.
Desirable
- FA Level 2
- Able to demonstrate football skills when coaching
- Experience with working with young players
