About the Club
SPORTING HACKNEY FC – PROVIDING FOOTBALL FOR GOOD
Our mission is to build a sustainable bridge between high quality youth and adult football in Hackney.We are keen supporters of health and well-being in the area. Our partnerships with Behind Every Kick & Mind are an important part of who we are.
THE CLUB
We were founded in 1986 and are a self-run community club. We aim to provide a sustainable bridge between high quality youth and adult football in Hackney and use sport to transcend all walks of life, creating opportunities for local people to contribute to and develop a club for the community.
ON THE FIELD
An FA Charter Standard club, we currently run five teams:
– First team – play in Essex Alliance Senior Division – Step 7 of the National League System
– Under 16s team – Hackney Marshes Youth League
– Under 17s team – HMYL
– Under 18s team – Echo League
– Veterans team (over 35s) Essex Veterans League Div Two West
THE FUTURE
Our ambitious aims include:
providing first team football at step 5 and above
work with Hackney Council to build a community football ground in the borough capable of hosting adult football up to FA step 3
