Excel Sport has a vacancy for a Senior Football Coach.
Excel Sport is a very successful, forward thinking company with nearly 30 years of experience running its own programme developing children through sport to be the best they can be. We coach children of all ages and abilities making us the stand out provider in the area.
The successful candidate will join a small group in implementing our successful coaching programme in foundation phase. As a Senior Coach, previous coaching experience is essential and coaching skills are important but with a predisposition to learn across all age groups particularly the younger ones. They must also have a good telephone manner and customer service skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience in coaching children and be confident, out-going and reliable. They must be prepared to work with children of all ages from pre-school to those moving forward with their football careers. They must have patience, good communication skills and a positive manner. Our coaches are caring, enthusiastic and fun to be around!
Key Responsibilities
Training as an Excel Coach will be given but the role will involve skills such as administration, planning and teaching football plus flexibility to deliver other sports. A positive and lively personality are pre-requisites to coach children from 3-4 years old upwards.
The job is full-time and requires working Saturday and Sunday mornings to begin with. Weekly hours will be a mixture of coaching and office administration work which will include some sales, finding new facilities, marketing, leaflet distribution, customer service, sourcing new schools and social media. Senior Coaches will also have the responsibility of managing and guiding other coaches and coaching some of our affiliated club teams if they so wish.
